LIVE: DRUNK, SICK, TIRED (2011)

Out of print

The Langer’s Ball return with a live record capturing the sights and sounds (thankfully not the smells) of Saint Patrick’s Day in Saint Paul. The core duo of Hannah Rediske & Michael Sturm put together a full Celtic Rock band with drums, bass, and banjo, making it a rare evening in their history, recorded live in all its boozy glory. Opening with the Pogues’ Irish Punk anthem “Streams of Whiskey” the intensity of the night never drops, as their set includes a dark take on the classic pub song “All For Me Grog,” standards like “Star of the County Down,” the angsty “Sam Hall,” as well as the classic drinking songs “The Real Old Mountain Dew” and “Johnny is a Rovin’ Blade.” The disc is enhanced with two additional videos “The Tinker’s Fiddle” and “Shores of Botany Bay” both shot at Shamrock’s. This record will keep you stomping your foot & refilling your glass until “last call.”
