July 19th, 2008 - We have our CDs! We got them on Friday afternoon, since then we've been running non-stop with 2 shows in Stillwater, and dropping the CD's off to stores and in the mail to all of our pre-orderers - Thanks by the way! You can get the CD off of our website on the gear page , or pick one u at out live shows, we'll be happy to sign it for you too. we've still got lots in the pipeline, stickers are ordered, we are awaiting buttons and T-shirts, and some other stuff to come. Mainly now we can get back to focusing on the music. Thanks to everyone who has bought a CD already, your support is overwhelming.
July 10th, 2008 - The CD is done, and is being pressed as I type. We expect it in 9-13 business days, we are very excited! We also have a bunch of merch coming out within the next 3-5 weeks, so stay tuned. Hey, while your out & about, Please pick up the June/July issue of the Irish Gazette; on page 9 there is an Irish Favorites Survey. If you see fit, please vote for The Langer's Ball in the "Favorite Local Irish Musical Group" Category and mail it off to them, We'd appreciate it greatly. Gotta go for now, lot's more to come soon.
June 28th, 2008 - Well, we have been busy this last month, besides playing all our shows, we got booked at 2 new Pubs, Shamrocks on W. 7th St. in St. Paul, and Carmody Irish Pub on Superior St. in Duluth, MN. We will be playing both of those pubs in July. We are also just weeks away from our CD release, that will be followed up quickly with new merch which you will be able to buy on our website, or at our live shows. It's been a busy month, and we're about to get busier. We have 6 shows currently scheduled for July, and we're working on more, and just getting ready for the Iowa & Minnesota Irish fairs. Hope to see you out at the pub very soon
May 28th, 2008 - We just got booked for a few more shows, Kip's Irish Pub in St. Louis Park on June 14th at 9:00pm, and this Saturday, May 31st at The Dubliner Pub. We are playing a benefit for the Children's Program of Northern Ireland, they are a great organization that brings Catholic and Protestant kids over to Minnesota for a few weeks in the summer, they teach tolerance and understanding. We did a benefit for them a few months back, but weather and the MN Wild playoff games made for poor attendance, so please come out for this great cause this Saturday.
May 21st, 2008 - We just had some photos taken by our friend Steve Wolf of Other Side Images. He just got back to me yesterday and said of the 130 or so, there are over 60 that made it through the 1st cut. We are very excited to see his work, this will be the most professional photos to date for the Langer's Ball. We are doing the final things to get our CD out, we will have lots of new stuff coming soon. Stay tuned.
May 14th, 2008 - It's been a big day for us. We just got confirmed for the Minnesota Irish Fair, we will be playing on Sunday, August 10th on the Gateway stage at 1:00pm and at 5:00pm. We had our wonderful friend and neighbor, Ezra James, come over with some of his fine photography that he took of us at our show at The Dubliner last night, be sure to check out his work on our photos page. Our CD is fully mixed and it just went off to be mastered today. Lot of stuff is happening. Keep tuned as we start to drop new merch and as the CD gets close.
May 9th, 2008 - WOW! Last night we finished recording the last bits of our CD. They tell us that mixing & mastering will take about 3 weeks, then it'll be 2 more weeks to press, but that means we should have our debut CD almost a month early! A huge thanks to our engineer, Robert Howard, he has worked his butt off to make sure that we come out swinging. Robert has been tireless in ins efforts. We are very excited to have the CD done. Keep posted we'll let you know when it drops.
May 8th, 2008 - Today we are launching our website, complete with streaming music, up-to-date events calendar, photos, and all other things Langer's Ball. We hope you will visit the site often, we have a very big summer coming up. We are going to be rolling out a new logo, new photos, a bunch more shows at new venues, we should have our first CD out in mid to late July, and much much more! Please sign up below for our mailing list, we won't sell you emails or anything like that, we will just send you updates to let you know when all these exciting things happen.
